| 'Malignant narcisissm': Donald Trump displays classic traits of mental illness, claim psychologists More and more mental health experts are sharing their diagnoses to warn the public  n a bid to warn the public, psychologists are publishing their diagnoses of Trump. Most recently, John D. Gartner said Trump “is dangerously mentally ill and temperamentally incapable of being president.” He believes Trump shows signs of “malignant narcissism,” which is defined as a mix of narcissism, antisocial personality disorder, aggression and sadism in Campbells’ Psychiatric Dictionary. In December, three leading professors of psychiatry wrote to Barack Obama expressing their grave concerns over Trump's mental stability: “His widely reported symptoms of mental instability - including grandiosity, impulsivity, hypersensitivity to slights or criticism, and an apparent inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality - lead us to question his fitness for the immense responsibilities of the office,” the professors from Harvard Medical School and the University of California wrote to the then President, urging him to order a “full medical and neuropsychiatric evaluation” of the then President-elect. The American Psychiatry Association has a nine-point checklist for narcissism - if someone displays just five of the traits, they have Narcissistic Personality Disorder: Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognised as superior without commensurate achievements). Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love. Believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions). Requires excessive admiration. Has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favourable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations. Is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends. Lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognise or identify with the feelings and needs of others. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her. Shows arrogant, haughty behaviours or attitudes. На акцию в аэропорт Сан-Франциско пришел сооснователь Google и президент компании Alphabet Сергей Брин, который эмигрировал в Америку из СССР. Сергей Брин переехал в США вместе с родителями в 1979 году, ему тогда было пять лет. Семья решила эмигрировать из СССР из-за ограничений в области образовании и карьеры, с которыми сталкивались в те годы советские евреи.   Против действий Трампа высказались (пусть и не на митинге) руководители и других крупнейших технологических компаний. Глава Apple Тим Кук разослал подчиненным письмо, согласно которому запрет коснулся в том числе и сотрудников компании; в письме сказано, что «Apple не было бы без иммиграции». Руководитель Microsoft Сатья Наделла, приехавший в США из Индии, сообщил, что возможность въехать в страну потеряли более 70 сотрудников компании: «Будучи и иммигрантом, и главой компании, я смог испытать и увидеть позитивное воздействие иммиграции на нашу компанию, на страну и на мир».
