Нямаше статия за баскетбола и затова ще ползвам тази. Да ме извинят хилядите фенове на волейбола.  Става въпрос за приятелския мач между Лукойл Академик и АЕЛ(Кипър) игран в Правец. Там са станали доста интересантни неща. Ето за какво става въпрос: FIBA Europe teams - be aware of AEL! - Sep. 28, 2004 - by Valentin Anguelov The team from Limassol came to Sofia for friendlies but at end up they weren't very friendly at all. Teams from Group D in FIBA Europe League, you better watch out. This team play dirty basketball and you have to prepare yourself. Paris Basket , Lavovi Belgrade , Dynamo St.Peterburg , Hapoel Tel Aviv, Khimik Yuzhny and Iraklis Thessaloniki , put the helmets and boxing gloves  in your games against AEL. Seriously, this team is not kidding when it comes to real physical style of play. |
Center Michael McDonald finished the game with 13 fouls (!!!) as there was no fouling out in the game. This guy was so dangerous for everyone on the court and for the first two rows of the journalist seats. He should do professional boxing in some of the famous casinos in Las Vegas instead of playing basketball.  American Darrin Fowlkes left the game injured but the way the team from Cyprus played that fact was no surprise to anyone. Another American Tony Harris couldn’t finish the first game in Pravets as well. |
| Има и още: On top of everything Serbian coach of AEL Limassol Dragan Raca pooled off his team with 18 seconds to go when one of the referees blew the whistle for offensive foul of McDonald. Unbelievable! I have no words to describe their behavior.  Coach Konstantin Papazov couldn’t put all of the younger kids from the bench in the game as the match was a horror , not suggested for under 18 years old Ебаси мача е било! |
