| Да си припомним невръстното детство и премиерата на: Adió s gringo (1965) Poor Brent Landers. Tricked into buying stolen cattle from a friend, he accidentally kills the real owner in a confrontation. While on the lam, he rescues a raped girl and brings her to a small town for care. It seems she was attacked by three thieves during a stagecoach robbery, and everyone else was killed. While in the town, Brent finds the cattle thief in the bar with two associates, and deduces that they were the stagecoach robbers. But just as you think the movie will be over 15 minutes in, he is arrested by the sheriff, aware of the $10, 000 bounty on his head. The problem is that one of the robbers is the "respectable" son of the wealthiest man in town. What's a gunslinger to do? Like most of Giuliano Gemma's movies, this is most definitely an American-style spaghetti, with the costumes and photography imitated rather impressively - hell, even some of the locations look like they were shot on soundstages. The plot, however, is an interesting one, and alongside the likable characters helps make up for the comparative lack of action. Gemma is good as usual, though suffers from a extremely poor dubbed voice (this actor also dubbed Franco Nero in Texas Adios, and was annoying there too). Roberto Carmadiel as a sympathetic doctor and Jesus Puente as the sheriff are also very good. The action scenes are exciting, if not mind-blowing. Bendetto Ghiglia's score includes a silly theme song that sounds vaguely like a sung commercial for a late night talk show. Otherwise the music is acceptable. Adios Gringo won't make anyone's top 10, but if you're a spaghetti and/or Gemma fan, you should enjoy this film despite its American atmosphere.
