Palestine (Poem)
Thursday, March 14 2002
By Mannal Ramadan, age 13
Palestine oh Palestine
how we wish that we were free,
how we wish that people can understand,
how we wish people can see;
the pain we go through day after day;
we only want our freedom, our peace,
for this we pray.
Palestine oh Palestine
the years of suffering we've been through;
the anger we've had,
nights we've prayed to save you.
As much as we try
we still cannot succeed;
Palestine oh Palestine
you are all we need.
You help give us strength
to pass the day by,
even though at times
we wanted to cry.
We just keep on
saying in our hearts
how lovely it would be,
to have you safe in our lives,
for us to finally be free!
Palestine Oh Palestine
you are my pride and joy!
